Reliable 12V Power for RV and Camper Systems

The PM-12 Series RV power converter charger is designed to convert 105–130VAC shore power into stable 12V DC power for recreational vehicles, motorhomes, travel trailers and camper vans.

When connected to an appropriate AC power source, the converter supplies power to onboard 12V equipment such as lighting, ventilation fans, water pumps, control systems and other DC loads. At the same time, it can support charging and maintenance of the connected 12V battery system.

Three output options—55A, 75A and 100A—allow RV manufacturers, system integrators and replacement buyers to select a suitable converter according to the vehicle load, battery capacity and required charging current.

One Converter, Two Essential Functions

AC to DC Power Conversion

The converter changes 105–130VAC input power into regulated 12V DC output for operating compatible onboard equipment. It helps provide a stable DC power source whenever the RV is connected to shore power or another suitable AC supply.

Battery Charging and Maintenance

In 3-stage charging mode, the converter supports battery charging and maintenance while continuing to supply available power to the RV’s 12V loads. The total output is shared between the connected DC equipment and the battery.

The PM-12 Series is available with 55A, 75A and 100A continuous DC output options. All three models accept 105–130VAC input and provide nominal 12V DC output. Choose the output current according to the total onboard DC load, battery charging requirements, battery manufacturer specifications and the available AC circuit capacity.

Built-in current limiting, reverse-polarity fuse protection, over-voltage protection, over-temperature protection and backup thermal protection help maintain reliable operation. The temperature-controlled cooling fan operates only when required, helping reduce unnecessary noise and power consumption during light-load operation.

Selectable Charging and Power Supply Modes

3-Stage Charging Mode

The 3-stage mode is designed for automatic battery charging and maintenance. It adjusts the charging process through different stages to restore battery capacity and maintain the connected battery during continued AC operation.

Use this mode only when the charging profile and voltage settings are suitable for the connected battery according to the battery manufacturer’s instructions.

Adjustable Fixed-Output Mode

For applications requiring a constant DC voltage, the fixed-output mode allows the output to be manually adjusted from 13V to 16.5V.

This mode can be used for compatible lithium battery systems, battery-specific charging requirements or direct DC load operation. The output voltage must be correctly set before connecting the battery or equipment.

Important: This model does not automatically identify battery chemistry. Before charging a lithium battery, confirm the required charging voltage, maximum charging current and BMS limits with the battery manufacturer.

Typical applications include motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, camper vans, truck campers, RV retrofit projects, mobile service vehicles, 12V battery banks and other systems that require AC to DC conversion together with battery charging capability.

Installation Guidelines

Install the converter in an indoor, dry and well-ventilated location. Keep the ventilation openings unobstructed and leave sufficient clearance around the unit for cooling airflow.

The converter should not be installed inside a battery compartment, near flammable liquids or in an area exposed to rain, moisture, metallic particles or excessive dust.

Use correctly sized copper cables for the DC output connections and connect the grounding lug securely to the vehicle chassis. Cable size should be selected according to the output current, cable length, allowable voltage drop and applicable electrical standards.

The AC supply, receptacle, branch circuit and plug configuration must be suitable for the selected converter model. Installation should be completed or checked by a qualified electrical professional.
